Stargazing @ Stonelick Lake - Saturday April 17th

The predictions look great - clear and cool. There's winter stuff in the West, spring galaxies near the meridian, M3 & 5 rising in the East. The sun's setting around 8:30 and by 9:00 it's dark enough to observe.
This is a great opportunity to view planets, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and stars. It is also a good opportunity to see numerous types of telescopes in action, ask questions and become involved in the fascinating world of astronomy. Most amateur astronomers are more than willing to have you look through their telescopes as well as explain astronomical concepts, from basic to complex.

Stargazing - Saturday April 10th @ Stonelick State Park

The weather predictions look great for Sat night. Clear with a low of 41.
The sky's getting dark around 8:30 and there's still some great winter objects high in the sky. Galaxies are rising at dusk and before too long the summer nebulas are well placed - it's a great time to brush up rusty observational skills.
